Prior to your shoot we discuss exactly what you'd like to achieve and how we are going to proceed. Your input is invaluable because you understand the quirks and personality that mean so much to you. I design my sessions around your animal's comfort and cooperation allowing them time to relax and adjust.

I work in a very patient way - no rush or stress - this is important because any tension would transmit to the photographs.

There is no time limit for the shoot, it needs to be calm and enjoyable for everyone, however allow around an hour or two.

I work closely with you to tease out those all important expressions and character so that we can capture them forever.

You will have the opportunity to be included in the shoot if you wish, remember this is your chance to shine alongside your horse or dog!

Once we have finalised your choice of images and wall art you will be invoiced for the order.

I then work on the pictures, expertly enhancing them and really making them 'pop' into fine art photographs.

Prior to printing I send you a digital proof for your approval so you can see how the final image will look, although this is no substitute

Once approved the order is placed and the handcrafted production process begins at our specialist UK lab.

This process can take up to six weeks although it is often completed sooner.

Wherever possible, I deliver your wall art to you in person so we can both experience the thrill of seeing the finished art work.

Enjoy the experience of a relaxed full photo shoot at a location of your choice within 20 miles of Oxford, or further by arrangement.

This package includes: A morning or afternoon photo shoot, typically lasting around 1 to 2 hours, an in-person design and ordering experience, a beautiful fully retouched 10x8" fine art matted print, and the option to purchase from a range of exquisite hand-crafted, British made, wall art and products.

What types of photography services do you offer?

I specialise in natural light pet portrait photography, including horses, dogs and cats. I also photograph people and families in natural settings.

All my photography is done on location in and around Oxfordshire, sometimes further by arrangement.

I live outside of your 20 miles from Oxford area how much further do you travel and how much would this cost?

If you are outside my area and would like me to photograph for you there are a couple of options:

1. If you would like a dog shoot you could bring your dog to one of my Oxfordshire locations, as many clients have done.

2. If you prefer I can travel to your location by arrangement. I currently charge 35p per mile for any additional mileage. This is something I do frequently, especially for equine photography when visiting stables.

The total distance that I am able to travel depends on several factors, please feel free to contact me to discuss.

How long does a shoot take?

A typical shoot usually takes around an hour, although we have no time restriction so we may take longer as necessary. This all depends on the number of animals, how they behave, the weather and various other factors.

It is best if you allow a morning or afternoon of your time so you can relax and enjoy the experience without feeling you need to rush off somewhere.

I only take on one shoot per day so you have my total attention on making your shoot special for you and enjoyable for all of us.

Do you offer weekend shoots?

Absolutely!

We make things as easy as possible for you by coming to your location at a time that suits you. During the summer months we also offer evening shoots to take advantage of the beautiful golden light.

Are your photography sessions fun, or serious?

Ha!, my photography is serious but my sessions are fun.

Animals soon pick up on any human stress so it's really important that we are relaxed, otherwise they'll be on edge and this transmits to the photos.

Some owners worry that their animal will misbehave but there is absolutely no need, we work with them at their pace and let them do their thing. This way we can really capture their uniqueness in an unforced way.

So the whole structure of the shoot is a friendly, relaxed and really enjoyable experience.

How does you guarantee work for photo sessions?

Simply put, if you are not delighted with the results from your shoot I will refund, in full, any shoot booking fee you have paid.

You can book with the confidence that you'll love your photographs or you'll get your money back.

How many animals can I have photographed in a single session?

I spend time getting to know you and your animals and need to treat each one as an individual so that their unique personalities can be captured. For this reason I only photograph a maximum of three animals in a single session (It may be possible to include more depending on several factors which we can discuss prior to any booking)

We offer a range of exquisite hand-crafted, British made, wall art from traditional hand varnished fine art, to ultra-modern crystal gloss finishes. We also offer beautiful mounted fine art photographs and a variety of framing options.

I bring a selection of samples along to our design consultation where you can truly see and appreciate the superb quality.

Prices range from £130 to £675.

Does my photo shoot include the digital files?

No, we specialise in capturing beautiful images for animal lovers who also appreciate fine art. We work with you to produce unique wall art which is physically tangible and exquisitely luxurious.

Something you can be proud of and appreciate for a lifetime.

We do however, offer digital file packages as an option.

When and how will I see the pictures from my shoot?

Because I work on location every shoot is different.You should be able to see and select your photographs on the same day shortly after your shoot. I upload them to my computer then we start the exciting selection process!

This is best done in your own home because we can position wall art samples and styles in different rooms and decide where you would like to locate them.

Sometimes, for logistical reasons, we may have to go to a local cafe to select the pictures, or I may have to visit your home at a later date.

We decide and plan all these details for your particular shoot in advance so that we can give the selection process all the time it deserves.

I have booked a photo session with you and heavy rain is forecast, what happens?

We always do a weather check the evening before a shoot and if constant rain is forecast we contact you to reschedule your shoot.

If we meet for the session and the weather prevents us from completing the shoot I will arrange another date with you at no further cost.

How do I prepare for my dog photo shoot?

Prior to the shoot, please give some thought about any characteristics that really capture their personality. Our aim is to provide you with special memories for years to come.

We all want your dog to look at their best so remove any sleep from their eyes and brush and groom as you would normally.

Exercise your dog at the shoot location prior to the session so they can burn some energy and familiarise themselves with the environment.

If your dog is anxious don’t worry, you can stand close by to reassure them. I bring along slip leads for this purpose, and these can be edited out in post-production.

If they do not socialise well with other dogs, please let me know so we can choose a quiet area.

If you would like to be in any photos, please avoid clothing with strong busy patterns or overly bright colours as these tend to distract. It is nice to have a couple of non-posed natural shots of you interacting with your best friend.

Bring some treats, their favourite toys and some water too!

What happens if my dog won't sit still long enough to be photographed?

Don't worry, it only takes a fraction of a second for a great photograph!

For a portrait you can keep your dog close to you on a slip lead (we can provide these) which can be edited out of the photograph later.

We also use fast shutter speeds to capture split-second moments of action shots for you to choose from.

Our photo sessions are fully guaranteed, so you are assured of a great result, or your money back.

How do I prepare for a horse photo shoot?

Make sure your horses coat is well groomed and hooves are clean and oiled. It is important to declutter any stable setting of distractions-however, we can also help 'dress' a stable for your shoot.

For yourself, please bring changes of clothing if you wish but try to avoid overly bright colours which may distract.

How do I choose my photographs?

We take all the time necessary to help you choose your photographs during a guided design consultation. We filter and edit to your very favourite pictures and discuss the various finish options based on your selected images and the location for your bespoke wall art.

This is a fully guided process and I am with you to help you make the right choices. We start with a slideshow overview to give you a feel for what we have captured, then we filter by choosing those special pictures which impact you emotionally.

Remember, your wall art is with you forever so the right selection deserves a little time.

Once I've ordered my wall art, how long will it take for it to be delivered?

When you have placed your order I spend time enhancing your images to really make them pop.

I will then send you a digital proof for you to approve prior to print. Once approved the images are sent to our lab to be hand crafted for you. You can expect to receive them within six weeks, although it will often be sooner.

I will notify you of any updates and when your wall art is ready I will arrange to deliver your order in person, whenever possible, or directly to you via courier.
